▪️Where are the Archives of Global History?

In this opening roundtable, we invite four senior scholars to reflect on the central themes that will run through the seminar series. Each with a different relationship to Global History as a field, the speakers will discuss archival practices from a practical and political perspective as well as an intellectual one, particularly in light of the pandemic. The guiding question, 'Where are the archives of Global History?' provokes us to think about the uneven distribution of sources used for writing global histories and the significance (or otherwise) of an archive's 'rootedness'. The roundtable will set the scene for subsequent seminars, where the emphasis will move towards inter-sectoral dialogue and early career scholars.
